Discovery to Live have partnered with a Digital Software Consultancy who are looking to build a team to continue solving problems using software and technology for their clients. We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team to play a crucial role in optimising their development and operations processes.

The Job

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
  • Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
  • Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions.
  • Automate routine tasks to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application deployment, infrastructure, and system performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve our DevOps processes.

About You

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Ruby) for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.

Job Type: Hybrid – must be able to commute multiple times a week to the Ebbsfleet office.
